Hey there! I’m Lauren, the coach behind Lauren Floris Training!
I am a long time runner and have been training and racing competitively for since I was in middle school (15 years now!). In college I competed at the NCAA Division I level for Pepperdine University. During my time as a Wave cross country was by far my favorite event and when it came to the track I focused mostly on the 5K and 3000m steeplechase. When I graduated in 2012 I held 5 school records, all of which still stand today.
Since graduation I’ve been chasing my post-collegiate running dreams. My long term goal is qualifying for the Olympic Trials Marathons in 2020. But for now, my focus is on the shorter distances, 5K to half marathon. I am hoping to lower my personal bests at these distances over the next few years before shifting back into marathon mode!
I’m also an assistant Cross Country & Track Coach at California Baptist University where I’m lucky enough to coach and train with some of the fastest D2 runners in the country. Lance Up!
